Thailand: Chiang Mai Needs Our Prayers

We've spent time two separate days in the markets in the city distributing English phrase booklets and SD cards with English lessons and the Gospel message to vendors. It's gratifying that, once they understand that what we're handing them is free, they accept the materials and are very pleased. The materials are a great tool to spread good will and to give them the Gospel. Please pray that they will use the booklets and SD cards and then seek out Christians for further understanding.

Approaching vendors and giving them free English lessons is easy. Not so easy is approaching the women in the Red Light District. Some of us were able to do that and to hopefully make a connection. All of us walked in the area and prayed for them. As we walked and prayed, we asked God to show us the needs among the people we encountered. We asked God to let the people see Jesus in us. We prayed for divine encounters that would change lives and bring new priorities. We prayed for open and receptive hearts. Prayer walking is a powerful and emotional time.

"Father, you know the plans you have for the Thai people, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope. Father, I pray that they will call upon you and you will hear them. I pray that the people we have walked among tonight will seek you and find you because they will seek you with all their heart.

I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord. Jeremiah 29:11-14"
