Uganda: Thank You's are due to you and you and you!

Now that we’re back we wanted to take a moment to thank all of those folks who joined us on our journey to Uganda. We only booked 7 airline tickets but we took the thoughts and prayers of so many who faithfully prayed for us each day and we had the privilege of taking much-needed items in our extra suitcases. That would not have been possible without the donations of so many people:

150 pounds of boys clothing to the orphanage, donated by JF as well as non-JF members

100 pounds of fabric were taken that will be used in a sewing center in Kenya – Sew4Life with Joyce Weru

Dental supplies were brought to one of the missionaries on the GSF campus (she was a hygienist)

Basic medical supplies were given to the two sweet nurses who were serving for a year at GSF

Materials to make puppets were donated so every elementary aged child at GSF could have a new little ‘friend’

And a sweet JF member personally sewed 36 dresses to be given to the little girls at GSF

So while only 7 ladies got on the airplane, hundreds of members were donating, praying and serving to make the trip possible. One of the ladies who was asked to pray responded with this,

“Thanks! I’d love to pray! I feel like I have been all over the world because of all the trips I get to follow/pray for.”

So the team wants to say a BIG 'Thank You' to all those who made the trip to Uganda possible! It takes a whole church to send a team on mission!

And for those of you who have asked about the children at GSF and how to help- here is the link to sponsor a child:

We will forever be changed...all because we said 'YES' when He said 'GO'.
