Angels are rejoicing in heaven tonight because of forty-one people who put their trust in Jesus Christ at our festival tonight in San Sebastian. This was our fourth night of hosting a festival and some of our troops are growing weary in body, but not in spirit! Seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter of children as they get their faces painted and launch rockets never gets old. But it’s crazy to think that watching line dancers dance can bring people into the kingdom of God. Manny Fernandez, the missionary/DJ of the festival surveys the crowd every night and insists that when we are dancing, the people go to the counseling tent and receive Christ.
It reminds me of the story in the Old Testament when the Israelites were pursued by Amalek. With the staff of God in his hand, Moses raised his hands and Israel prevailed. When he couldn’t hold his hands up any longer, Aaron and Hur supported his hands one on each side until they won the battle. Although we feel inadequate because of the language barrier, God can even use line dancing to draw people to himself. So we will dance all to the glory of God.
Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit says the Lord – Zechariah 4:6
As we've grown close with our San Sebastian family, we will miss sharing every evening together. There's no language barrier when it comes to loving Christ and His children.
