Sevierville, TN : Mapquest vs. Ricky Beasley's Directions

pack your bags, ladies and gentlemen!

It's finally time to pack up the car with our gloves, flexible attitudes and Rick Beasley's directions.  Good Luck and may the best man win... the Map Quest award.

The majority of our participants for this trip are first time visitors to the beautiful Wear's Valley Ranch, including myself. I have heard so many great things about the trip and the relationships that are maintained because of it. Prayers have been going up all week from friends and family of those involved as well as the intercessors of Johnson Ferry and we can't wait to see where God will move and work among those he loves.

It was the series Living Out the Great Commission that has one Sunday school class banding together to be obedient to the work God has started in them. It was just last Sunday that Bryant continued his series on Abraham, One Man's Journey of Faith. The emphasis last Sunday was on prayer and the power that Abraham's faithful prayer had in the case of his nephew, Lot. So many cases in the Bible illustrate to us that God is our Father who wants us to come to him with our prayer and supplication.

Hebrews 4:14-16
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

I would say, "Let the Map Quest gods be with us" but this is a church blog.... please keep us in your prayers as we make our way to Tennessee...  :)
