"Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.”
Colossians 4:5-6 NASB
As we stood beneath the portico at JFBC, we listened as Kyle prayed with us and shared this verse from Colossians. We are heading to Kenya where we will make the most of the opportunity God has given us to share the love of Christ with women, men and children that we meet.
Our leader, Claire, reminded us during our ride to the airport that our mission starts now - even as we encounter people during the check in and security process. We needed that reminder and we all kept smiles on our faces even as some of us were reprimanded by the check in or TSA agents for one thing or another!
We will arrive in East Africa late Thursday evening and begin our ministry at Sew4Life on Friday. Please pray as we serve:
- With the ladies from Kibera Slum for two days through Sew4Life
- With a women's conference in a Masai village outside Nairobi
- by holding a VBS for 97 children at First Love orphanage and second day teaching through "Seeded Word" and life skills
Please continue to pray for travel mercies, team unity, good health and many opportunities to share the gospel and disciple believers.
