Let's meet the wonderful people heading out to Shëngjin, Albania this July!
Jim & Sherry
Our fearless leaders! This is their 7th time ministering to the Albanian people, and they plan to continue to go back. Sherry's background with teaching and Jim's ability to organize and get things done really makes for a great combination as we teach at an English camp for Albanian college students. We couldn't do this without them!
Kimberly went with Jim and Sherry last summer to Korçë and loved it so much she decided to go back! This year she will have the opportunity be one of the lead teachers in the classroom which will definitely be a new adventure, especially since her co-teacher is Wes. She will once again be the youngest member of the team, but that doesn't bother her one bit!
Rick & Becky
This is Rick and Becky's first time going to Albania and their first mission trip abroad serving as a couple. We are very excited to have their fresh energy and enthusiasm on the team this year! They're excited for the chance to teach the beginners class this year. Rick decided that was the class for them as soon as he hear they play lots of games.
Petros is this trip's favorite team member. He certainly increases the cuteness factor! Petros is very excited to meet students in Albania and run through the parks. We are going to have to keep a close eye on him as we're sure all of our Albanian friends will want to adopt him.
This will be Wes' first time traveling to Albania and his first time teaching English. We were a little nervous about the idea of letting him teach English to college students, but when he started correcting everyone's grammar, we decided he might be ok. The students will definitely enjoy meeting him and having the chance to play volleyball with an American.
Jim & Pam
Jim and Pam are no strangers to Albania and ministering to the students there. Pam may have a background in teaching Spanish to middle schoolers, but that has definitely translated well as we teach English to college students. Jim can pull his own weight in the classroom as the students eagerly look to him for great advice and even greater stories!
