Southern Europe: Hitting the Streets

2 Timothy 1:6-8a
“For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love  and discipline.  Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord....”

Our training is behind us and we're ready to begin service in earnest.  Some of us must be at the team meeting at 4:30 am, with others filling various shifts throughout the day.  We have learned many new phrases and even looked up verses in other languages.  We were able to celebrate with a nice dinner near the water.

Today we are praying more than ever for the opportunities we will have to share with others; people from many other nations and walks of life. The biggest fear is of the unknown.  But God has not given us a spirit of fear.  He has given us His Holy Spirit and everything we need to share the hope we have in Christ!  Our prayer has been that we will be serving, not out of obligation or to follow a set of objectives set before us, but rather that we will serve out of genuine love for our Lord and that our words and attitudes will reflect the deep, deep, love we have for Him.

Please pray for:

  • Our walk with God, that it will grow ever deeper as we move forward in obedience and faith.
  • The Holy Spirit to be active, that we will see His mighty influence in our hearts and among those we speak to.
  • Our work, that we will be bold, humble, and thankful, making the most of our time and every opportunity.
  • Our efforts, that they would bear much fruit.

Thank you for your prayers!
