It was another full day of ministry for our team serving in the Middle East.
After speaking this morning in a local school that is equipping and training church leaders from around the world, our team divided into groups to engage the community with the gospel.
The ladies were able to lead a children's program where over 100 children from Muslim families were able to hear the gospel.
Later in the day the team divided into groups and visited the homes of refugees from Syria and Iraq. It was heartbreaking to hear their stories of devastating loss, but there is great hope as The Lord is bringing many to himself in the midst of these tragedies.
After lunch the group was able to prepare food packets that will be distributed to refugee families. The team was able to pack 136 bags, each one of which will feed a family for three weeks.
It is humbling to be in the presence of so many Spirit-filled workers who are serving The Lord boldly in such a volatile region. We have had the opportunity to meet believers from different organizations, denominations and nationalities who are all working to boldly proclaim the Gospel in the Middle East. It is a poignant reminder of the diversity in the Body of Christ, and the strength in that diversity. It is a reminder that Johnson Ferry is not the answer; Southern Baptists are not the answer; Americans are not the answer. The key to Kingdom Expansion is the whole Body of Christ acting in obedience, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and led by the Word of God. By God's grace the Kingdom is expanding in the Middle East like never before. May we not miss this incredible opportunity to worship The Lord and be used by Him as He is at work.
