Missions Mega Metro is a time to gather with other mission leaders from throughout the US to share ideas and focus on the pressing issues at hand in global missions.  This is a time to discuss current best practices and learn new ideas from each other. There will be an optional track for the wives of mission leaders.

You will have some free time during our time in San Francisco. Check out some things to do in San Francisco*.  

You will also have two evening meals on your own. There are many local restaurants in proximity to the hotel.

Registration fees

Registration includes three nights at the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf (additional nights at our reduced conference rate can be reserved directly with the hotel).  All but two dinner meals are covered in the registration fee. 

  • Individual cost is $875
  • Spouse cost is an additional $400
  • Roommates sharing a double room save $325 each off the individual cost (must know roommate at point of registration)

Registration deadline for guaranteed hotel accommodations is December 1, 2017.

Jeff Christopherson is about fostering Kingdom movements of reproducing churches that transform neighborhoods and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jeff leads NAMB’s Send Network, the SBC’s church planting arm. He is the author of Kingdom Matrix: Designing a Church for the Kingdom of God, and Kingdom First: Starting Churches that Shape Movements. He and his wife, Laura, live in Milton, Georgia. They have two married children, Kelley and James.

Dr. David Garrison (PhD University of Chicago) is a 30-year veteran of global missions, and the author of Church Planting Movements (2004), and A Wind in the House of Islam (2014). He presently serves as the executive director of Global Gates, a ministry that seeks to reach the ends of the earth through global gateway cities. Headquartered in New York City, Global Gates missionaries are engaging the world's least reached people groups through their diaspora populations in gateway cities across North America.

 

Jeff Palmer and his wife Regina served over 20 years with the International Mission Board based in Southeast Asia. In 2006, the Palmers were asked to initiate a new Southern Baptist international relief and development organization called Baptist Global Response (BGR). BGR works to help the poorest of the poor through disaster relief, community development and connecting Southern Baptist resources to strategic needs around the world. Jeff currently serves as BGR Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Jeff has authored three books on international community development: Kingdom Development: A Passion for Souls and a Compassion for People (2004), Poverty and the Kingdom of God: What in the World is God Doing About the Poor? (2005), and Kingdom Development: Koinonea as if it Really Mattered. (2007).

Bryant Wright was called by Johnson Ferry to become the first pastor when it was a mission of First Baptist Church in Marietta, GA, with a membership of about twenty families meeting in an empty doctor’s office. Johnson Ferry now has over 8,500 members and 7 Sunday morning worship services with an average worship attendance of about 4,000. 

He has authored five books, One Minute of Your Time, Another Minute of Your Time, One Minute of Your Day, Seeds of Turmoil (biblical origins of the Middle East conflict), and Right from the Heart, a book of daily devotionals.
