MOVE Mission Week: 8 Days of Prayer | February 24-March 3
---Join us in 8 Days of Prayer for the 8 days of MOVE mission week---
“And he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves
but for him who for their sake died and was raised.” - 2 Cor 5:15
Sunday, February 24: Ask the Lord to give you his heart for the lost. Thank Him that He has been patient toward you. Repent of any lack of desire you may have to share the Gospel with lost people you know. Pray for boldness.
“The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” (2 Peter 3: 9-10)
Monday, February 25: Meditate on Luke 10:2. Ask Jesus, the “Lord of the harvest,” to send out more laborers.
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Luke 10:2)
Tuesday, February 26: Ask the Lord to send believers to the Unreached People Groups of the world—those who are not only lost, but who have no access to the Gospel whatsoever!
“And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” (Rom 10:14-15)
Wednesday, February 27: Pray today that Bible translators will complete the task of translating God's Word into all the remaining languages. Pray for those Bible-less peoples that they will one day soon read the Word in their heart language.
“For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
Thursday, February 28: Pray today for refugees, those displaced from their homes due to war or various forms of persecution. Pray they will meet Christ followers who will welcome them, and share the Gospel with them.
"Then I will draw near to you for judgement; and I will be a swift witness against...those who turn aside the alien and do not fear me.” (Malachi 3:5)
Friday, March 1: Pray today for church planters working in difficult places around the world and in unchurched cities in North America. Pray for renewal from the Lord for these saints serving on the front lines.
"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father…that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being…that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend…the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:14-19)
Saturday, March 2: Pray for your pledge toward JFBC's MOVE Missions Offering of $1.5 million. This will support church planting worldwide, refugee ministry, Bible translation and distribution, and short-term mission trips. Visit moveconference.org/offering to learn more.
“He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” ( 2 Cor 9:6-7)
Sunday, March 3: In light of the Move Conference, ask the Lord, “How would you have me to respond?” Consider the Lord’s exchange with the prophet Isaiah:
“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’” (Isaiah 6:8)
